Sen. Robert Byrd, 92

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CN) - Sen. Robert Byrd, the longest-serving U.S. senator in history, died this morning at 92. He served 51 years in the Senate and 6 in the House. West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin III, like Byrd, a Democrat, will appoint an interim replacement.
