WASHINGTON (CN) - The Court of Federal Claims refused to dismiss part of a security company's lawsuit seeking payment for security services it provided to federal government agencies.
NCLN20 claimed the government owes it more than $150,000 for security work at the General Services Administration's Mega Center in Battle Creek, Mich.
Judge Braden said the government has not received the proper invoices from the security company, possibly because of the uncertain matter of interest on the account.
As a result, the court has jurisdiction over the case.
Braden also ruled that NCLN20 failed to request a final decision as required by the Contract Disputes Act. For that reason, it does not matter whether the $75,142 discrepancy in the company's dispute with the government is a request for payment or a claim.
