The 11th Circuit affirmed a $5.4 million forfeiture order against a former attorney from California who was convicted of multiple counts of mail fraud, securities fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and obstruction.

ATLANTA — The 11th Circuit affirmed a $5.4 million forfeiture order against a former attorney from California who was convicted of multiple counts of mail fraud, securities fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and obstruction. Stein, as an attorney for medical company Signalife, concocted “fraudulent purchase orders for heart devices” and reported those “sales” to investors.
