The SEC claims in federal court that Gina Champion-Cain, 57, of San Diego raised $300 million for her ANI Development LLC, transferred bucket loads of it to corporate parent and relief defendant American National Investments, and that ANI Development owes investors more than $120 million, but has just $11 million in its escrow account.

SAN DIEGO — The SEC claims in a federal complaint that Gina Champion-Cain, 57, of San Diego, raised $300 million for her ANI Development LLC, transferred bucket loads of it to corporate parent and relief defendant American National Investments, and that ANI Development owes investors more than $120 million, but has just $11 million in its escrow account.
