EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (CN) - A St. Louis securities broker pleaded guilty to federal charges of scamming investors out of $6 million.
Victoria McGee-Harris, 58, admitted she took clients' money for investments from 2003 to 2010 and used the money for personal expenses, including travel, a chain of clothing stores called Essential Elements and another store called Elements of Denim.
McGee-Harris pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud and one count of engaging in a monetary transaction with unlawfully derived property. Her sentencing is scheduled for July 8.
