SEC Settles Spam-Blast Stock Case

HOUSTON (CN) - An uncle and nephew will pay $3.8 million to settle charges they manipulated the price of penny stocks through email spam blasts, the SEC said late Wednesday. Darrel Uselton and his uncle Jack Uselton must pay up to settle the SEC's July 2007 charges accusing them of hijacking personal computers nationwide to run the scam.
