Seattle court pauses Trump DEI, gender orders

SEATTLE — A federal court in Washington granted Seattle’s motion to enjoin President Donald Trump and the federal government from enforcing his executive orders aimed against affirmative action and “gender ideology extremism.” The court agrees that Trump’s orders unconstitutionally infringe on Congress’s power to set funding conditions, i.e. by withholding funds without Congressional authorization.
