School Funding

The Duval County (Fla.) School Board sued Jacksonville in Duval County Court, for refusing to put a school capital surtax on the ballot, to remedy <a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/School-funding.pdf"><strong>deplorable conditions</strong></a> in “schools that were built long ago to segregate African-American children (and) are still in use.”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Duval County (Fla.) School Board sued Jacksonville in Duval County Court, for refusing to put a school capital surtax on the ballot, to remedy deplorable conditions in “schools that were built long ago to segregate African-American children (and) are still in use.”
