School Fired Her For Workers Comp Claim After Student Beat Her Up, Teacher Says

MEDINA, OHIO (CN) - After a Buckeye High School student beat a teacher unconscious at school, sending her to the hospital, the school district fired her in retaliation for filing a workers compensation claim, the teacher claims in Medina County Court.

Kathy Boggins sued Daniel L. Peckham, the student who allegedly beat her into unconsciousness during an unprovoked, 5-minute-long attack, and the administrators of Buckeye High School and the superintendent and school board of Buckeye Local Schools. She is represented by Stephen Brown.
