‘Scent Lok’ Clothing Is Bogus, Class Claims

CHICAGO (CN) - Cabela's and other retailers defraud consumers by selling "Scent Lok" clothing for hunters under the false claim that it eliminates human odors and that its powers can be regenerated by a clothes drier, a class action claims in Federal Court.

The "Scent Lok" clothing does not eliminate human orders, nor can it be "regenerated" in a drier, the plaintiffs say.

Hunters want their human odor to be eliminated so they can sneak up on deer and other animals and kill them.

Defendant ALS Enterprises makes the "Scent Lok" clothing and licenses it for sale to defendants Cabela's, Gander Mountain Co., Bass Pro, and Browning.

Plaintiffs demand punitive damages for conspiracy, deceptive trade and consumer fraud. They are represented by Freed Kanner London & Millen of Bannockburn, Ill.
