The Alameda Creek Alliance claims in court that a road-widening project spanning 4½ miles on State Route 84 will threaten the endangered red-legged frog and Alameda whipsnake.

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Alameda Creek Alliance claims the California Department of Transportation’s Niles Canyon Safety Improvement Project, a road-widening project spanning 4½ miles  on State Route 84, will threaten the endangered red-legged frog and Alameda whipsnake, in Alameda County Court.
