Satanic panic

SAN FRANCISCO — The Ninth Circuit upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit brought by former members of the Washington Satanic Temple chapter’s advisory council; they say they were removed from the council and then defamed on social media when the chapter described itself as ascribing to extremist ideologies. The ecclesiastical abstention doctrine may prevent civil courts from interfering in this matter.
