Salmonella Poisoning Blamed on Spices

LAS VEGAS (CN) - A woman says she got salmonella poisoning from a Union International Food Co. spice. The company recalled its Lian How brand spices and Uncle Chen brand white and black peppers on March 30 and expanded the recall on April 15 to include sauces and oils, she claims in Federal Court.

Shirley Shultz claims she was hospitalized with Salmonella Rissen poisoning. She is represented by Mark Wenzel with Bradley, Drendel & Jeanney of Reno.
