Salinas Police Shooting

In an unpublished <a href="https://cdn.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/memoranda/2019/02/04/17-17337.pdf"><strong>memorandum</strong></a> issued Monday, the Ninth Circuit agreed Salinas police officers who shot and killed a man armed only with gardening shears are not entitled to summary judgment on qualified immunity grounds – setting the stage for a jury trial in the <a href="https://www.courthousenews.com/salinas-police-killings-questioned/">lawsuit</a> filed by the man’s family.
