Salesforce prevails over sex trafficking claims

DALLAS — Salesforce prevailed over sex trafficking claims brought against the software company in Texas federal court. A group of victims accused Salesforce of providing technical support to aid in the wrongdoings of Backpage, where their abusers advertised them for sex. Their allegations failed to show Salesforce had actual knowledge of their trafficking, a necessary element of the Texas civil human trafficking statute.
