Safe rides fee

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal court in California approved $5.7 million in attorney fees in a class action arising from Uber’s “safe rides fee.” In a 2017 settlement in the case, Uber agreed to stop charging the fee and refrain from using terms such as “industry leading” when describing its safety measures in advertisements.
