TORT - A woman filed actions for medical battery against a dentist, claiming she withdrew her consent for dental surgery while she was sedated during the surgery. The state Supreme Court held that no legal precedent in South Carolina allows a claim for medical battery based on plaintiff's withdrawal of consent. See ruling.
