STRASBOURG – Wading into the fray of what many call a constitutional crisis, the European Court of Human Rights asked Poland on Wednesday to answer whether purported judicial reforms – in this case appointing judges to a judicial watchdog board rather than allowing the judiciary to elect them – violates the civil rights of judges thrown off the board.
