Rude Letter Brings Lawsuit

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (CN) - A dentist says a furniture store defamed her by sending her a letter with her name prominently posted followed by the words, "DO NOT ACCEPT OFFER - DEADBEAT." The dentist says she had paid Bassett Furniture Direct in full, and the company refused to reply to requests for an explanation from her and from her attorney.

The dentist is represented by Philip Lustbader in Morris County Court.
