Rogue Trader Gets 3 Years

Jérôme Kerviel, the rogue trader whose deals almost brought down the French bank Société Générale, was sentenced today in Paris to 5 years in prison - 2 years of it suspended - and ordered to repay the bank 4.9 billion euros - $6.7 billion.

Kerviel's attorney said he would appeal, and that the bank should have had a system to keep Kerviel from doing it.
