Rocker Calls Rape Claim Defamatory

LOS ANGELES (CN) - Rock band Falling in Reverse's lead singer Ronald Radke on Monday sued a woman who he claims defamed him by falsely accusing him of rape.

In his lawsuit in Superior Court, Radke claims he "shared a casual intimate relationship" with Kacee Boswell, which he "did not want to rekindle last week in Murray, Utah."

Radke says in the lawsuit that Boswell told the New York Daily News "that she had been gang-raped by Radke and several others in the tour bus" after a June 3-4 show in Las Vegas. She also accused Radke's bodyguard of raping her, the singer says in the lawsuit.

Radke says the allegations are false, and that he "has been exonerated as fully as can occur in less than week: the police swabbed the tour bus and found no evidence of a rape. The police have taken no action against Radke. The police did not arrest Radke. The prosecutor has not charged Radke. Radke was not required to post bail. No restrictions have been placed on Radke's movements. And all of the above is true for Radke's bodyguard, as well."

Radke seeks punitive damages for defamation.

He is represented by Paul Karl Lukacs, of Beverly Hills.
