Robert DeNiro Owes Her|$40,200, Ex-Nanny Says

MANHATTAN (CN) - Robert DeNiro's nanny says he owes her $40,200 for overtime, unpaid vacation, expenses, and her final pay period. Alexis Barry sued the actor and his wife in New York County Court.

Barry says the DeNiros hired her at $31.25 an hour in August 2006, to work at their Park Avenue apartment. She says she accumulated "more than 750 hours of overtime," for which she had not been paid.

She says she submitted a written letter of resignation on May 21, 2007, to take effect on June 22, 2007, and the DeNiros fired her on June 6, 2007, effective immediately. She claims they didn't pay her wages for her work from June 1-6.

She also sued the Riverside Trust. She is represented by Robert Barnard with Thompson Hine.
