Rite Aid, Choicepoint Face Class Action

PHILADELPHIA (CN) - A federal class-action complaint accuses Choicepoint of falsely accusing retail workers of stealing from their employers, costing them their jobs and ruining their credit. Doris Menefee sued Choicepoint and her former employer, Rite Aid, claiming Rite Aid fired her "based on an unfounded accusation that she had misused the company's employee discount program" and Choicepoint violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by calling her a thief without proof or investigation.
