Rihanna, Alarmed, Seeks|a Restraining Order

SANTA MONICA (CN) - Pop star Rihanna filed for a restraining order against a man who allegedly broke into a neighbor's home, believing it was hers, slept in the bed, stole stuff, and is trying to give her poems.

Robyn "Rihanna" Fenty seeks a restraining order against Steveland Barrow, whose whereabouts, according to her petition in Superior Court, are unknown.

In the 3-page petition, filed by Reed Smith attorney Miles Cooley, Cooley says Fenty's managers, RocNation, sent him an email on Monday, Feb. 25, about a burglary at Fenty's next-door neighbor. RocNation also sent him a report by Det. John Eum.

"In his report, Detective Eum explained that Steveland Barrow was arrested for breaking into the home next to Ms. Fenty's and that upon arrest, Mr. Barrow claimed that he had been invited to Ms. Fenty's home," the complaint states.

"After viewing Detective Eum's report, I called and spoke with Detective Jeffrey Dunn, who informed me that Mr. Barrow believed the home he entered was Ms. Fenty's. I was also informed that Mr. Barrow stole a few personal items and slept in one of the beds, believing it was 'Rihanna's.' Apparently, Mr. Barrow also had numerous pieces of poetry directed to 'Rihanna' when he was arrested. Mr. Barrow indicated to the arresting officers that he is attempting to contact or otherwise meet with Ms. Fenty for the purposes of giving her poetry.

"In consideration of the foregoing facts and Mr. Barrow's knowing and willful course of conduct directed at Ms. Fenty that seriously alarms annoys and harasses her and serving no legitimate purpose, Ms. Fenty has suffered substantial emotional distress and concern for her personal safety.

"An Ex Part [sic] application is appropriate because Mr. Barrow is no longer under arrest and we are unaware of his whereabouts."
