Right to sunlight

SAN FRANCISCO — The Ninth Circuit denied prisoners’ appeal of an injunction order requiring two San Francisco County jails to provide an hour of access to outdoor sunlight per week to pretrial inmates locked up for more than four years, rejecting their effort to expand the right to direct sunlight to everyone jailed for six weeks or more.
