PASADENA, Calif. – The Ninth Circuit ruled that singer Steve Perry’s right-of-publicity claims against musician Phil Brown should be remanded for a hearing on Perry’s request for a preliminary injunction. The former Journey lead singer claims Brown falsely implied Perry was a part of his band and threatened to release old vocal performances, even though Perry owns the intellectual property rights.
