Return the Shotgun

The Arkansas Court of Appeals ruled that a 12-gauge shotgun must be returned to a man who pleaded no contest to four misdemeanors relating to the harassment of his neighbors.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas Court of Appeals ruled that a 12-gauge shotgun must be returned to a man who pleaded no contest to four misdemeanors relating to the harassment of his neighbors.

The neighbors accused the man of walking “up and down the street ‘howling’ and firing a shotgun.” A lower court improperly ruled that the shotgun was contraband that had been used in the commission of a felony.
