A federal court in California refused to dismiss financial elder abuse claims against CC-Palo Alto relating to “entrance fees” transferred to the retirement community’s parent organization. However, the court dismissed most of the plaintiffs’ other claims including concealment, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract claims.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — A federal court in California refused to dismiss financial elder abuse claims against CC-Palo Alto relating to “entrance fees” transferred to the retirement community’s parent organization. However, the court dismissed most of the plaintiffs’ other claims including concealment, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract claims.
