DETROIT (CN) - The 24Grille, which describes itself as "a new upscale restaurant in the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in downtown Detroit," says it was defamed by TripAdvisor, a Web-based travel site. The Grille says TripAdvisor refused to remove, or investigate the accuracy of, an anonymous poster who advised "staying clear of the 24grille unless you and your family actually enjoy sharing your evening with the local prostitutes."
The restaurant demands damages for libel and negligence. It is represented in Wayne County Court by Stawick & Stawick of West Bloomfield.
