Reporter Sues 'Opie & Anthony' For Assault

HACKENSACK (CN) – WABC-TV reporter **Anthony Johnson says he was assaulted on the job by a man who answered **The Opie and Anthony Show ‘s demand on **XM Satellite Radio that listeners launch an “assault on the media.”     Johnson also sues **John D. Walton , who allegedly assaulted him, **Greg Hughes (Opie) and Anthony Cumia (Anthony), in Bergen County Court.      Johnson and his wife, who also sues, claim the radio hosts encouraged the assault to promote their own show. Johnson claims he was severely and permanently injured in the assault, on Dec. 6, 2005, in Ocean, N.J. He is represented by Rosemarie Arnold of Fort Lee.     See complaint.
