Release Pending Appeal

The New Mexico Supreme Court ruled that criminal defendants who meet certain state criminal procedure requirements, including defendants convicted of child abuse, are entitled to release from prison pending the resolution of their appeals on merit.

SANTA FE, N.M. — The New Mexico Supreme Court ruled that criminal defendants who meet certain state criminal procedure requirements, including defendants convicted of child abuse, are entitled to release from prison pending the resolution of their appeals on merit.
