Redistricting

A bill proposed in the Colorado General Assembly that seeks to direct the operations of independent redistricting commissions and their nonpartisan staff is unconstitutional, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled. The court added, however, that the commissions are free to use preliminary census data when drawing district maps.

The court added, however, that the commissions are free to use preliminary census data when drawing district maps.
