ATLANTA (CN) - A Georgia company owes more than $100,000 for a Jamie Foxx Super Bowl party that French investors financed four years ago, the investors claim in court.
Philippe and Garance Chuzel sued Foxx Entertainment Services dba Foxx Entertainment Group, its CEO Teena Foxx aka Tee Foxx, and five other company officers, in Fulton County Superior Court.
Based in Atlanta, Foxx Entertainment is a sports and entertainment marketing, production and management agency. The company has a second office in Louisville and serves professional athletes, musicians, actors and corporate clients, according to its website.
The Chuzels claim they agreed to pay Foxx Group $130,000 to promote and organize "The Jamie Foxx Pre-Party Saturday Night" special event in conjunction with the February 2010 super bowl in Miami.
Jamie Foxx is not a party to the lawsuit.
CEO Tee Foxx signed the joint venture agreement on behalf of Foxx Group in January 2010, promising to pay the Chuzels $169,000, from 15 to 30 business days after the party, according to the lawsuit.
The Chuzels claim they were to receive the first revenue generated from the event, regardless of actual profits or losses.
They claim Foxx Group paid them $57,500 in March 2010, but still owes them the balance.
The company still advertises the event on its website, under its "portfolio" event gallery, according to the lawsuit.
The Chuzels seek an accounting, the $111,500 balance, and compensatory and punitive damages for breach of contract and fiduciary duty, theft by taking and deception, conversion and fraud.
They are represented by Scott Kaye with Manchel, Wiggins & Kaye.
Foxx Entertainment Group did not respond to a request for comment over the weekend.
