‘Real Housewife’|Squabbles With Real Ex

ATLANTA (CN) - "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Sheree Whitfield is squabbling again with her ex-husband. Former Atlanta Falcons' lineman Bob Whitfield claims his ex filed a lien against all of his property, in violation of a court order in their divorce.

In his complaint in Fulton County Superior Court, Bob Whitfield claims he is the owner of PatchWerks Recordings, which was to "become and remain the exclusive property of the plaintiff" under an order by Judge Melvin K. Westmoreland in the final judgment and decree in the divorce. But he says his ex filed a writ of fieri facias, claiming an interest of $775,000 in his property.

Whitfield says the lien is "in violation of this court's final judgment and decree entered on October 3, 2009, which states specifically that the property is to remain free and clear of any claim of the defendant. The defendant's action is in contempt of this court's order, handed down by The Honorable Melvin K. Westmoreland."

Whitfield claims he ex tried "to prevent the sale and final closing of the subject property" which was scheduled for Oct. 9.

He claims the sale was the "only method by which this plaintiff has to complete payment to the defendant for amounts determined by this court to be fair and equitable settlement with regard to division of the marital assets. Plaintiff shows that he has paid over half of the settlement claimed, prior to the defendant filing for an appeal in attempt to obtain a larger settlement."

Whitfield says he "initiated the sale of the subject property in an effort to pay the remaining amounts due as a result of the final judgment and decree, which amounts to $350,000."

Bob Whitfield says he tried without success to discuss the matter with his ex-wife's attorney. He wants an injunction prohibiting Sheree from placing liens on his property.
