Real Estate Reps Charged in Radio Scam

MANHATTAN (CN) - Federal prosecutors charged two real estate representatives with using a radio show to troll for suckers in a foreclosure scam from which they made $800,000. Lavette Bills, who called herself a "foreclosure specialist," is CEO of MTC Real Estate in the Bronx and hosted a thrice-weekly radio show on WBLS-FM and WLIB-AM. Kirk Lacey worked with her, according to the complaint.

Bills, 36, of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., and Lacey, 36, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., are charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
