Rapper Ne-Yo Says He Was Fired|For Outshining The Star, R. Kelly

LOS ANGELES (CN) - Rapper Ne-Yo (Shaffer Smith) claims the manager of an R. Kelly tour owes him$735,000 after firing him because the crowds liked him better than Kelly.

Smith claims he was promised $785,000 to open 25 shows on Kelly's "Double Up Tour," beginning Nov. 14, 2007, and Rowe Entertainment fired him after two shows because he outshone the star, in Superior Court.
