JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (CN) - Missouri prosecutors plan to make negotiations public between the St. Louis Rams and the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission.
Attorney General Chris Koster and Patricia Churchill, his chief counsel of government affairs, stated their intentions in a letter to St. Louis Circuit Judge Bryan Hettenbach, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. The letter says the state will release the documents "by the close of business on Monday, May 14."
Last week, the commission sued the Post-Dispatch to shield the records as exempt from the state's Sunshine Law. Claiming that the release of such documents could hurt negotiations, the commission says it will release all pertinent documents after striking a deal.
The current plan allows the Rams to move if the Edward Jones Dome is not made into a first tier stadium by March 1, 2015. Both sides are negotiating that how that can be achieved, possibly using millions in tax payer money.
