SHREVEPORT, La. (CN) - The Kansas City Southern railroad claims the American Train Dispatchers Association is threatening to disrupt rail traffic in 11 states because of a "minor dispute." The defendant union is the railroads' analogue of the union that represents air traffic controllers.
The KC Southern says the minor dispute involves "the terms and conditions of the pending migration of dispatchers from Shreveport to Kansas City." It claims strikes and work stoppages are prohibited for minor disputes.
The railroad's lead counsel is Bobby Gilliam with Wilkinson, Carmody & Gilliam.
