Racist Rental Housing Policies Continue|In New Orleans, Multiple Plaintiffs Say

NEW ORLEANS (CN) - The St. Bernard Parish Council is violating a consent order that enjoined it from enforcing a racist rental housing policy it created after Hurricane Katrina, 25 individuals and Your Home Solution claim in Federal Court. The "blood relative ordinance" was enjoined on Feb. 27, but plaintiffs say the Parish has enacted a substantially similar ordinance and is threatening to criminally prosecute the plaintiffs for violating it.
