Racist Charged With Threatening Juror

CHICAGO (CN) – The editor of a white supremacy Web site was criminally charged with soliciting violence against the foreman of the jury that convicted Matthew Hale, another white racist. Hale was sentenced to 40 years in prison for soliciting the murder of a federal judge. William White was arrested after allegedly posting the name, address and telephone number of a juror on his Web site, under the headline, “The Juror Who Convicted Matt Hale.”

Matthew Hale was sentenced in 2005 to 40 years in prison for soliciting an FBI informant to kill Joan Lefkow, the judge who ruled against Hale’s group in a trademark infringement suit over the name “Church of the Creator.” Hale’s group shared the name with an Oregon-based religious organization.
White, 31, of Roanoke, Va., is founder of the American National Socialist Workers’ Party, a “convergence of former [white supremacy] ‘movement’ activists who grew disgusted with the general garbage that ‘the movement’ has attracted.”
According to the indictment, White has previously targeted individuals by posting their personal information on his Web site and it was his intent that someone would use the juror’s information to threaten or use force against the juror.
In one instance, White allegedly gave three possible addresses for Holocaust survivor and author Elie Wiesel “in case anyone was looking for him.” In another instance, White allegedly posted the address of a Canadian human rights lawyer and wrote that he “should be drug out into the street and shot.”
White faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
