Quarrel Between AIDS Groups in Houston

HOUSTON (CN) - Calvin Tarver and God Bless HIV and AIDS Awareness claim KPRC Channel 2, the AIDS Foundation of Houston and others defamed them by accusing them of running a "fake charity."

Tarver claims Kelly McCann defamed him in an article in Out Smart magazine; that the AIDS Foundation defamed him in an article on Article Alley.com; and that KPRC and reporter Amy Davis defamed him in a Feb. 11 piece that accused him and his group of being "a fake charity [used] as a front for criminal activity and collecting fake donations," according to the complaint in Harris County Court.

Tarver is represented by Kennitra Foote.
