Qatar Bites Back

The state communications office for the government of Qatar filed suit in Queens on Wednesday against the unknown internet users it says has been posting false statements about Qatar for the last year on social media. Among other things, the statements include “allegations that Qatar supports corruption and ignites strife.”

QUEENS, N.Y. - The state communications office for the government of Qatar filed suit in Queens on Wednesday against the unknown internet users it says has been posting false statements about Qatar for the last year on social media.

Among other things, the statements on Facebook, Twitter and the website qatarileaks.com include “allegations that Qatar supports corruption and ignites strife.”
