AUSTIN, Texas — A special court of review in Texas ruled the State Commission on Judicial Conduct improperly sanctioned state Senator Sarah Eckhardt for wearing a “pussyhat” while presiding over a meeting of the Travis County Commissioners Court in 2017 and remarking while sitting on a panel at the Texas Tribune Festival that Governor Greg Abbott “hates trees because one fell on him.”
