Puerto Rico’s Governor Charged|With Election Fraud

MIAMI (CN) - Puerto Rico Gov. Anibal Acevedo and 12 associates were charged with election fraud in a federal indictment unsealed here today. The 27-count indictment includes charges of conspiracy wire fraud, tax fraud, false statements and fraud in federal programs in Puerto Rico's 2000 and 2004 gubernatorial elections, and the 2002 race for commissioner of the commonwealth.
