St. Martin's Press says Hays Cambridge Ltd. and David McClintick kept a $650,000 advance on a biography of Frank Sinatra, but failed to perform and won't return the money, in Middlesex County Court, Woburn, Mass.

Henry Alford claims his agents, The Lazear Agency, received a $30,000 advance from (nonparty) Grand Central Publishing for his book, "How to Live: A Search for Wisdom from Old People (While They Are Still on This Earth)," but haven't paid him any of it, in New York County Court.
