Psychiatric Patients

The New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled that psychiatric patients who have been certified for involuntary emergency admission must be given a probable cause hearing within three days of their admission even if they are still waiting for a bed in a designated receiving facility.

CONCORD, N.H. — The New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled that psychiatric patients who have been certified for involuntary emergency admission must be given a probable cause hearing within three days of their admission even if they are still waiting for a bed in a designated receiving facility.
