Promoter Wants Bow Wow to Pay

ST. LOUIS (CN) - Bow Wow took $50,000 for two concerts but never showed up, the promoter claims in Federal Court. Brian Gould says he spent another $43,000 promoting the show for the performer, whose non-rap name is Shad Gregory Moss.

Gould claims he paid Bow Wow for a May 31, 2009 show at the St. Charles Family Arena, which was canceled through no fault of Gould's. The concert was rescheduled for Sept. 5, 2009 at Rotary Park, as part of a "Back 2 School Jam," sponsored by charities and youth organizations, including Mothers Against Drunk Driving and DARE. But Bow Wow failed to show, the complaint states.

Gould and his company, Macsimum, say they are out $93,000, plus the profits they lost and damage to their reputation.

Gould seek damages for breach of contract. He is represented by Randall Grady with Riezman Berger.
