Promoter sues Wu-Tang Clan’s agents

LOUISVILLE (CN) — A promoter claims the Wu-Tang Clan's booking agency promised but failed to deliver the hip-hop group's member "Rza" to perform with the rest of the band at a Louisville concert.
Terry Harper dba Terry Harper Presents sued New York-based International Artist Agency in Jefferson County Court.
Harper claims he paid International Artist more than $16,000 down, based on its promise to provide all nine members of the rap supergroup for headline show at Louisville' Expo Five on Jan. 5.
But Harper says the Rza, whose real name is Robert Diggs, failed to show, causing the "event to be poorly attended."
Harper says Rza is the "group's most popular member and the biggest crowd draw."
He says International Artist refused his request for a refund for its alleged breach of contract.
The Rza dropped out of Wu-Tang's winter tour, which was billed as Wu-Fest, due to prior engagements, according to the AOL music website The Boombox.
Harper seeks damages for breach of contract, fraud and misrepresentation.
He is represented by Matthew Stein and Cynthia Cram.
