Procter & Gamble Isn’t Liable For Burned Butt

NEW ORLEANS (CN) - Procter & Gamble, maker of the Therma Care heat pad, is not liable for the severely burned butt of a customer who used the heat pad despite a medical condition that impairs the sensation in the lower half of her body, the 5th Circuit ruled. The court found that plaintiff Francis Broussard had ignored several product warnings for people with poor circulation and decreased skin sensitivity.
