ST. LOUIS (CN) - The principal of a school for troubled teens forced a student to have sex and oral sex with him, the student claims Federal Court. Jane Doe says Lighthouse Christian Academy principal Craig Smith Jr. abused his position at the school in Wayne County.
Doe, now 19, says the sexual abused started in September 2007 and lasted until June 2008. She says her parents contacted Lighthouse officials in December 2007 with concerns about the type of relationship between Doe and Smith, but no action was taken.
ABM Ministries, which owns and operates Lighthouse, Smith, ABM President Larry Musgrave and ABM Treasurer Carmen Musgrave are also named as defendants.
Doe seeks $1 million in punitive damages. She is represented by Michael James. Wayne County is 120 miles south of St. Louis.
